a. When the screws or rivets are perforated and installed, the hole diameter of the plate must be 50% larger than the bolt or rivet diameter, in case of displacement of the plate during Thermal expansion. It is prohibited to fix screws or rivets by directly opening holes at the same time, and space for Thermal expansion cannot be reserved.
b. The spacing between holes drilled on the board should not be too large or too small. If the spacing is large, the accumulated thermal expansion length is large, and the reserved space is insufficient; A small spacing will inevitably severely limit the movement of the sheet, resulting in excessive stress concentration. If allowed to bend outward during thermal expansion, it can offset some of the stress.
c. Usually, drilling holes on the board with a spacing of 50cm is suitable, and the distance between the holes and the edge of the board is recommended to be at least 3-5 cm.
d. The diameter of the rivet head should be twice larger than the diameter of the shank, and a gasket or washer should be added to avoid damaging the plate due to the high pressure generated locally.
e. The screws should not be tightened too tightly to avoid fracturing the plate, and it is better to allow slight displacement of the plate after fixation.
f. It is not advisable to use PVC gaskets or waterproof tapes containing asphalt components, as the chemical additives they precipitate can cause chemical corrosion to the board, leading to cracks or even fractures on the surface of the board.
g. When cold bending, avoid using screws to fix the bent part. All pores should be filled with neutral silicone structural sealant to prevent the cleaning agent from penetrating the edges and affecting the appearance of the board.
